  About Us

1. Is St. Patrick Catholic School an accredited institution?

Yes!

St. Patrick is one of 37 parish schools within the Diocese of Jefferson City. We are recognized by:

United States Department of Education
Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
Non-Public School Accrediting Association
National Catholic Education Association

2. Are all teachers certified?

Yes!
All full time teachers possess a valid teaching certificate from an accredited institution. Several of our teachers have certification in more than one discipline and a number have earned or are working towards graduate degrees.

3. Do you have a dress code?

St. Patrick has a strict Dress Code policy. While specific colors and guidelines are provided, you are not required to purchase specific clothing from a uniform company. You are free to purchase items that meet the dress code standards from a variety of stores.

4. How do I enroll my child?

Contact the school office at 573-364-1162.
St. Patrick School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin or ethnic background.

A cooperative relationship among the parents, their church, and school is an important criterion in determining the acceptance of an application for admission. Children who meet the age requirements for Kindergarten, but who are found lacking in maturity and/or readiness, will not be admitted. Open enrollment is held each spring after currently enrolled students have the opportunity to enroll. New students are accepted according to the enrollment policy. When space is limited, the order of priority for admission to the school will be as follows:

1. Children of Parishioners.
Children from families with children already enrolled.
Established parish members with a first child now reaching school age.
New parish members registering prior to May 31 of each year.
Catholic parish members on an approved waiting list enrolled after May 31.

2. Catholic children from non-parish families with students already enrolled.
Catholic children from non-parish families.
Non-Catholic children from families with siblings already enrolled.
Non-Catholic children on an approved waiting list will only be admitted if space is available.

5. What does it cost to attend St. Patrick School?

Children of parishioners of St. Patrick Church tithe to the Church in lieu of paying tuition. The guidelines on tithing from the Diocese of Jefferson City encourage giving 1% of the annual income to the diocese, 5% to the local parish, and 4% to other charities. It is expected that all familieswill tithe to the best of their ability, bearing in mind that it costs the school $3000 per year to educate each student. Non-parishioners are charged $2800 per year, per student which may be paid at a rate of $280 per month, per student from August to May.

6. Which Sacraments does the school prepare the children for?

Our school prepares children for two sacraments. In the winter of second grade, students prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. In the spring after thorough preparation in religion class, students receive the Sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time. First Communion as a group is preferred, but individual First Communion may be arranged.
